2012 Tractor Pulls
All pulls start at 11:00
Weigh-in begins at 9:00
All pulls will go from light to heavy.

Montour Tractor Puller and Buffalo Valley Antique Machinery Assc. will be holding the Memorial Tractor Pull in memory of all past pullers on November 3, 2012 at the Buffalo Valley Show Grounds in Lewisburg, PA
Rules:
1. You must be a member to pull.
2. There will be a $5.00 pulling donation per class. This will allow one tractor in any one class.
3. No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed to participate in any event.
4. All participants must sign a release and waiver of liability and indeminty agreement.
5. Drivers under 16 years of age must have written consent signed by parent or guardian.
6. Tractors MUST make 5 pull dates a year minimum to qualify for trophies.
7.Tractors must be 1960 or older to qualify to pull.
8. All antique tractors will run stock RPMS with a 10% allowance.
A. Throttle stops at 10% must be installed... no running by tach.
9. Tractor operators will choose eith pace - 3 1/2MPH or no pace. all will use 1st or 2nd gear - 10% RPM. What you run at the begininng of the season you will run throughout the season.
10. No shifting of gears, torque amplifier or factory auto shift during the pull.
11. Tire Sizes: 15.5 maximun for classes to 7000 lbs; 16.9 maximun for 7500 to 10500 or 18.4 in factory equipped - NO UNSAFE ALTERING OF WHEELS.
12. No tires are allowed to be cut or sharped on front of cleats in antique class. No chains or duals.
13. If a tracotr is set up for 4 wheels and tires, it must have 4 wheels and tires.
14. Wheel weights will not exceed more than 12" past outside edge of tires.
*Rear wheel weights will not exceed beyond rear tires, except orchard style.
*Front weights will not exceed more than 11 feet forward from center of rear axle.
*All weights must be securely mounted. Officials decision.
15. All draw bars must be secured in fixed position and non adjustable during pull.
*Draw bar height is 18".
*Minimun draw bar length id 24" from center of axle to hooking point.
*Wheatlanders must pull with draw bar equal to platform.
16. Hitch plate or clevis for chain hook. Minimum 3" hole.
* Plate thickness- 1/2" minimum and 1" maximum.
* Distance from hole to back of plate- Minimum 1" and maximum 2".
17. When hooking and unhooking from the sled, tractor must be in neutral, brakes on, and operators hands in the air.
18. Drivers must remain seated at all times during the pull.
19. All pulls will start with a tight hitch. No jerking.
20. Pullers will be allowed a second try if the sled did not pass 30 feet on the first try.
21. Tractor classes: 1939 and older; 1940 to 1960 in all weight classes.
22. No tractor will pull in 1939 and older and then pull 1940 and newer in the same class.
23. Protested tractors will be checked before leavning the track.
24. Disqualifications are as follows:
* Unsafe operation or equipment of any kind.
* If anything drops of falls off the tractor during the pull.
* If RPMS are over the allowable % at checkpoint prior to or after the pull.
* If tractor tires or any parts of the sled cross over boundary lines of the track at any time.
25. The track and rule officials may inspect any or all tractors at any time. Officials decisions are final.
26. Antique Weight Classes: 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000, 7500, 8000, 8500, 9000, 9500, 10000, 10500-Unlimited.
27. Classic Classes: 4500, 5700, 6500, and 7500 (2nd gear only)
27A. Classic Classes: 4500, 5700, 6500, and 7500 (6 MPH)
28. Special Classes: 4500, 5700, 6500, and 7500 (V-8's)
29. Oliver 77, Farmall M, Massey 101 SR, 333, 44, MM-U, 445, JD G, JD A and like-sized tractors, 1940 and up are not allowed in any classes below 5000 pound class.
30. If a tractor needs to be pulled to start, this must be done in a safe area awat from people and other tractors.
31. Classic classes tractors are not allowed in any antique classes and must have a kill switch.
32. Tractor owners and operators are responsible for any damage.
33. The number of classes allowed to be pulled will be determined the day of the pull.
